Sewing for babies

While patiently waiting for this seemingly never-ending nausea to pass and for my motivation to come back from hiatus I have found a couple of projects to keep me doing something.  Nevermind the laundry, dishes, cooking, etc. etc. etc. that I just can’t seem to muster up the energy to do.  I can move from the couch to the table for a bit to sew…..and then back to the couch to stare off into space or sleep.  Ick.

Simple cotton/flannel burp cloths, reversible snap bibs, and pacifier clips to have on hand for baby gifts….and our baby to be!  Click on those to go to the patterns.

Please don’t look closely at the stitching, I am a sewing novice.  I would not recommend shiny, smooth finished ribbon for the pacifier clips either.  Hard to hold onto and keep together when stitching those little places.

I did several of the burp cloths from the pattern but I was not totally happy with the way they laid down with the curved seams.  I ended up resorting to rectangular cloths in the end, I’m much better with straight lines!

What types of fabric did you use? Everything is so cute!

Thank you! 100% cotton on one side and flannel on the other. I may do some with flannel on both sides too because it’s so soft.
