BBBBBRRRRRRRRR

Apparently instead of SNOW we should have made COLD! The current temp is -9 and wind chills today are expected to dip as low as -20 to -30. Yikes. Faith Formation was cancelled last night and schools were cancelled today so we are staying in and keeping warm too. I have been busy researching curricula

Snow day

Last night we had some friends over and to end the evening the oldest 3 kids, ages 2, 3, and 4, performed a “show” for us, complete with storage tub lids for a stage. It’s so fun to see them enter this stage of their lives now where their imaginations are so vivid and make-believe

Thanks and Giving

November is cruising right on by and before we know it Thanksgiving will be here and gone. I found this idea on another blog where they used trees but we are ready for a new subject since we’ve done a lot of things with trees already! Instead we have our Thanks and Giving Turkeys. On

Holding onto fall

We started this messy project yesterday and I considered doing it inside for about 30 seconds because it was pretty windy out. Thankfully we did it outside, what a messy but really fun project! We started inside with cutting out the leaves from construction paper. Then went outside to glue and crush leaves for the

This week

We finally made it to the pumpkin patch and as usual the pumpkins were the last thing on the kids’ minds when they spotted the animals! Lilly especially loves all animals, except cows. Fall fun

Homemade Books

Last year around this time Toby and I started this project and now that the weather has turned cold we have been inspired by it to create some similar books for him and Lilly. He found the items for the pages and did most of the picture taking for the ABC book. He put the

Abby Cadabby Party was Magical

We lucked out and the rain waited until after the party! YEAH! With our large family it’s convenient to have summer birthdays to have outdoor birthday parties but only when the weather cooperates. L seemed to enjoy her party today and T equally as much. It’s so much fun getting to play with all of

Rice and Oatmeal

When summer weather isn’t so pleasant, as in yesterday’s crazy downpours, this is one of Toby’s favorite indoor activities that mimics his favorite outdoor activity. We have a tub of mixed dry rice and oatmeal that his tractors and trucks work in just like they do outside in the dirt. This is an awesome tactile

Happy Birthday Toby!

Tomorrow(June 10th) is the actual 4 year mark for this big boy but yesterday was quite the celebration! He is soooo in tractor heaven right now after the crazy amount of them he was given at his party. He came into our room at 6:00a.m. this morning wanting to know if he could go play
