Weekly Wrap-Up

It has been a very busy and productive week in this little home/school and I, for one, am ready for a weekend. We are full scale into our human body study, reading about organ functions and doing fun little experiments to show how they work. Here are the kids’ labeled “Mr. Bony Man” and their

Cold enough for ya?

I for one am not complaining about the bitter cold temps and mounds and mounds of snow. Outside activities keep getting cancelled and it feels a little like just the break we needed to get over our crazy holiday. Staying home, hunkering down, cleaning, organizing, playing, cleaning more, organizing more, cooking, baking, it’s all good.

Thanksgiving Fun

Time is marching right along and we are having a load of fun learning and making messes lately. We are toward the end of Math U See Primer and T is close to mastering telling time but I had this little turkey file folder game put away just for fun so it’s a nice little

Works for us~Part 1

Success!

With our first month of Kindergarten under our belts we are into a pretty good groove here. Our schedule has been tweaked to work just right for us, we seem to have just the right amount of work vs. play time and I am starting to feel like I am able to keep up with

Happenings

We have not missed a beat around here in the past few weeks and have been on the go or involved in some project or another pretty much nonstop. Here are some highlights: The best part of our honey bee unit was getting a hands on demonstration from cousin Alex who is a bee-keeper! She

Transitioning

This week started out a little rocky but I’m choosing to remember the greatest times instead. In case you’re curious though, M actually took this picture as I sat glued to a lawn chair fighting back the urge to be sick while everyone enjoyed the National Balloon Classic. I didn’t want to ruin their fun
